We are asking the public and our teams to be SiteKind when at one of our Recycling Centres.

SiteKind is our way to make sure every one of our people is treated with the kindness and respect we all deserve at work.

WHAT?
Veolia are asking the public and our teams to be SiteKind when at one of our Recycling Centres. It’s our way to make sure every one of our people is treated with the kindness and respect we all deserve at work. As part of our SiteKind programme our teams will be wearing Body Worn Cameras.

WHY?
Physical and verbal violence directed at our employees has more than doubled since 2020. This is not okay. We have implemented this initiative to keep everyone safe and to reduce instances of aggression and verbal abuse.

HOW?
Our teams at Recycling Centres will be wearing Body Worn Cameras as standard whilst working on sites. We hope that this approach  will help to prevent any instances of verbal abuse or aggression. In case such incidents do occur, the recorded footage will provide vital evidence to address and prevent future occurrences.

To help to keep everyone safe, our teams at Household Waste Recycling Centres will be wearing Body Worn Cameras.

We know the majority of the public and our residents are kind and courteous to our people and recognise the good work they do. Unfortunately, there is a minority that feel like they can verbally and physically abuse our people and it is something we are keen to raise awareness of and stand shoulder to shoulder with our teams to say this is not acceptable and we will take action to stop it.
